If you want to play with some soccer data and not want to do any time series type comparison, you can go with Tableau FIFA18 dataset. However, for time series and detailed analysis, you can download the kaggle data set.

I was a little kid when I was playing FIFA 97, and since then I have been playing this immensely successful soccer game series. Every year EA Sports releases FIFA games and during the developing process, they work with many professionals like coaches, managers, scouts, ex-football players etc. for building players’ attributes. And some believes that these attributes are so precise, thus for long has been told that games like Football Manager and EA Sports FIFA are so good on finding cheap and promising players. However, is it that true? Is EA Sports FIFA that good to predict future stars?

Sometimes you need to go beyond the scope of standard bar charts in Tableau. Here in this dashboard, I was trying to get the total players count based on given criteria and how many of them went beyond their potential and how many of them couldn’t. For that I came up with a dual axis bar chart, one shows total players count and one shows status of players and combined them into one. Now I have a bar stacked on another bar but still I was not able to show the ones who fell short and who went beyond his potential. So, I decided to add some reference lines, and boom!
